Sneak Preview – New E-Class Cabriolet
The new E-Class Cabriolet (A207) offers sheer driving pleasure - open or closed - with a dynamic exterior design, new cabriolet functions for outstanding top-down enjoyment, high-quality interior as well as impressive driving dynamics. The model line-up mirrors the current E-Class Coupe and will comprise of an E350 and an E500. There will be no AMG model on offer, however an attractive AMG sports
package will be available as optional equipment. Stay tuned for more news about the new E-Class Cabriolet in the near future. Vehicle specifications for the South African market may differ from images displayed in this communication.
The New Mercedes-Benz M-Class Sports Pack
The Mercedes-Benz M-Class is now sharper and more athletic than ever before. The M-Class is both a family car and a prestige vehicle, equally at home in a rugged working environment or in the city, and just as adept at challenging the harshest terrain as it is at long-distance highway driving. The exterior package includes: chrome trim on the rub strip and waistline trip strip, radiator grille painted in sterling silver, finished with chrome strips and a load sill guard on the rear bumper in chrome. Blue-tinted glass all round as well as
rectangular chromed tailpipes. The simulated underguard gleams are made of stainless steel, the roof rails have a stylish aluminium look and the sterlingsilver- painted three-louvre radiator grille shines with chrome highlights. The M-Class Sports Pack includes 20-inch 5-twin spoke alloy wheels and now looks even more powerful and sportier with the exterior running boards. The interior package appointments ensure that the inside of the MClass also makes a very athletic impression. Brushed stainless ste el sports pedals with rubber studs complement the sports instrument cluster. The electrically adjustable sports seats, with 4-way lumbar support on the driver’s side, are upholstered in a combination of Alcantara® and ARTICO man-made leather, with contrasting topstitching and a 5-ribbed horizontal design that adds to an irresistibly dynamic ambience. The M-Class Sports package is available with the powerful and economical V6 and V8 petrol or diesel engines, which are now even more fuel-efficient – the ML350, the ML350 CDI and the ML500. The 4MATIC permanent all-wheel drive delivers outstanding performance both on and off-road. The standard 7G-TRONIC automatic transmission with optimised shift characteristics translates the power from the engines into refined dynamics. Private Rental – an alternative to purchasing a new vehicle
Private Rental is a tailor made rental product for passenger vehicles that enables customers to drive a vehicle without the option of ownership. This package is designed for customers who would like to pay for  the use of a vehicle, rather than ownership. Private Rental is available on new vehicles as well as demo vehicles that are less than 1 year old with mileage below 20 000km. Based on the customers annual mileage there are three product options available and for further customization customers can choose a rental period between 24 months and 48 months. In a Private Rental Agreement the customer is buying the use of a vehicle and at the end of the rental period the vehicle is simply returned, removing the worry of disposal. There is no ownership option and there might be potential penalties for excessive wear and tear and / or mileage, however buy-up options do exist to avoid penalties. The benefits of Private Rental are aligned with today’s wants and needs, ranging from no disposal risk to lower monthly

Mercedes-Benz East Rand supported Toy Run 2009
The 2009 Toy Run, the biggest motor cycle charity event in the world, took place on the 29th of November last year. Mercedes-Benz East
Rand’s participation started with a small request from Leslie Taylor, pre-owned sales executive and champion of the ‘Cargo Toy Run’, to all his colleagues and ended up in a Vito filled to the top with teddy bears, toys, baby chairs, prams, clothing as well as baby products. Our Vito was part of 15 000 bikers on their way to the Nazrec Expo Centre, the Cargossip A Mercedes-Benz East Rand Communication
collection point for all donations. On arrival our biker team was greeted by the organizers and personally thanked for their contribution. The
collection in 2009 was in excess of an astonishing 16 000 teddy bears, 200 prams, 20 baby car seats 6 x bakkie loads of various canned foods, clothing, general toys and baby products.
